Cottrell, Director
Michigan International Speedway has called the
Brooklyn-Irish Hills area home for the past 40
years. The two-mile racetrack hosts two NASCAR
Sprint Cup Series dates each summer with stars
such as Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
entertaining fans every June and August. With
over 150,000 fans in attendance, MIS hosts the
largest single-day paid-admission sporting event
in the state and also generates more than $400
million in total economic activity, with more
than $260 million of that in direct economic
benefit for the state.
On a
personal and professional level, I believe it’s
important to contribute to the community where
you work and live. The Brooklyn-Irish Hills
Chamber of Commerce provides a great platform to
be a part of various activities that grow and
sustain our businesses and charitable
organizations. |
